Our Special Services...

  • Three radio dispatched ambulances provide emergency services. These vehicles are certified by the New York State Department of Health.
  • All ambulance crews have an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) aboard who is responsible for providing complete assessment and emergency care for all patients.
  • Some off the life saving skills that these EMTs perform include: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Defibrillation, Oxygen therapy, administration of medication to patients having an Asthma Attack and Severe Allergic Reactions, as well as, Aspirin for those suspected of experiencing a Heart Attack.
  • Each of our Volunteer EMTs are required to attend an program consisting of 125 hours. They are also required to attend a recertification program every three years. All of these course are attended on their own time
  • Non-Emergency transportation is available in the service communities. This is based on crew availability as emergency responses come first.
